False Lights (2015):

Pressure Points is a melodic metal band founded in Heinola, Finland, in the summer of 2004.

Our music is a mixture of many different styles of which metal is the most prominent. Such bands like Porcupine Tree, Rush, Dream Theater and Akercocke are among our biggest influences.

Starting from early 2007, we have played over 100 gigs in Finland and abroad, including the following tours as a supporting act:

  • Winter's Gate Finnish tour with Insomnium and Swallow the Sun in 2016,

  • Those Whom The Gods Detest with Nile in North Europe in 2011 and

  • Keep of Kalessin Finnish tour in 2010.

We have also shared the stage with such bands like Katatonia, Samael, Omnium Gatherum etc. We are well known from our intensive and musical performances.

Our debut album Remorses to Remember, released in January 2010, received mostly splendid reviews. It also peaked on the Finnish Album Charts at #44 and made its first appearances in the Finnish national radio.

Pressure Points was ranked second as a newcomer of the year category in the Finnish Metal Awards in 2011. A third place was granted in 2008 in the best demo band category in the same competition.

Our second album False Lights was published on August 14th, 2015. So far the feedback has been magnificent. It can be heard in its entirety from the SoundCloud player above or you can download it from here.

"Now the time has come for international recognition and if it depends on the standout ‘False Lights’, we have total confidence in it. [...] Consequently we choose this as revelation of 2015! What a stunner!"

"Phenomenal sophomore album extends the promise of their well-received 2010 debut album "Remorses To Remember." This band has a great melodic style influenced by Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree as well as a ton of 70's prog. Great mixture of clean and death vocals really adds a great modern edge to their sound that is both accessible while remaining very sophisticated. Easily one of our favorite melodic prog metal albums of the year!"

"As you might expect, False Lights succeeds in the way that all memorable prog records do – it contains heavily detailed song structures, filled with both heavy and light sections in which passion and anguish are both experienced."

Remorses to Remember (2010):

Our first album is also provided for listening. The band owns the rights for the record so it would be usable for commercial purposes, e.g. re-release. If you don't prefer Soundcloud, the album can also be downloaded.
