Pressure Points welcomes a new guitarist

Our latest news was about us continuing as a four-member group. Fortunately this wasn't to last for long. We received an unexpected contact from a talented guitarist Jaakko Lehtinen, who was interested in joining our ranks. Of course we had to check him out, and after a gratifying weekend of playing and hanging out with him, we were more than happy to welcome him to the band. So now the band is back to being the five-membered unit it used to be.

Welcome, Jaska!

Pressure Points continues with four members - 2nd album recordings have begun

Timo Ruokola decided to leave the band a few months ago to concentrate on other projects. We wish him well. The band will now continue as a four-piece unit.

Last week the drums and bass lines were recorded for the upcoming album. The process continues in February with guitars. We hope to get the album out by fall 2013.

Here we are posing with our sound engineer Juho Räihä (left):

JUHO SUORTTI LEAVES PRESSURE POINTS

Juho Suortti, our long-time friend and colleague musician, has decided to leave Pressure Points. Juho has gone through some major changes in his life and felt he couldn't continue with the band. We would sincerely like to thank Juho for all the years spent together.

Juho's decision came into a rough spot, as it was made just before the long-awaited tour with Nile. Fortunately, with the help of our dear friend and talented guitarist Timo Ruokola we could succesfully pull it off. Special thanks also to Joona Virtanen and Markus Vanhala for supporting us during these downhearted times. Furthermore, we would like to thank the Scandinavian and Baltic audiences for giving us such a warm welcome.

We will begin a search for a new guitarist, more about that later in another news.

Dedicated to the future, with an honor to the past.

Update from the PP-fellows

Hello fans and friends! Summer is coming so we want to tell you of some of our near future plans and remind you of our summer festival appearances.

First of all, we are proud to announce that we'll be playing live with Ajattara at the Tuska festival afterparty, on July 4th, at Dante's Highlight, Helsinki. We will also play at the Dark River festival, on August 7th, in Kotka.

The swarming caused by Remorses to Remember has been larger than expected, but that hasn't slowed us down. In fact, we have been writing new material for our next album and we will continue writing and rehearsing for the summer and autumn. That means we won't be playing live as intensively as before, but still do some live performances so that we won't get bored and kill each other at the training crib. The schedule of our next album is still undecided - work is in progress. We will keep you updated.

On your spare time, check out the latest reviews on Remorses to Remember.
